By teaching children the scientific method and how to observe, test, and hypothesize, children can better understand the world around them. Teachers encourage children to clarify a question that they may have, come up with theories or answers, then set up an experiment from which they can examine evidence, and finally come to a conclusion. Teachers also conduct experiments for the children to help them define and explain the processes and elements of their environment. This enhances children’s vocabulary while enlarging their vision of the world.
